An independent restaurant competes with everything else within a fifteen-minute walk, and the menu is rarely what decides it. Someone scrolling on their phone is making a fast, atmospheric judgement: does this look like a good night out. A tour answers that in a way a menu and three photographs cannot.

It matters most for the bookings worth the most: groups, birthdays and private hire, where one person is choosing for everyone and cannot afford to get the venue wrong.

  • Sells the atmosphere that actually decides a local booking, not just the menu
  • Wins group and private hire enquiries competitors lose to imagination
  • Appears on Google Maps at the exact moment of local search
  • Most single restaurants fit Medium (£825); a single room can fit Small (£525)

The room is the reason they choose you

Diners deciding between three restaurants that all look fine on paper are really deciding on feel: is it romantic, is it loud, is it the kind of place for a birthday table of ten. A tour lets them answer that themselves, before they ever pick up the phone, which means the people who do enquire are already sold on the room.

This works hardest for the bookings that are hardest to lose casually: private dining and group bookings. Someone organising a birthday for twelve people is taking a risk on a room they've never seen. Let them see it properly and you win that booking outright.

What to capture, and when

Shoot just before service, with the lights set the way they'll actually be for a guest and the tables dressed. The room looks alive without a single blurred diner in frame, capturing the atmosphere without the privacy questions of shooting mid-service.

Cover the main dining room, any private dining space, the bar if there is one, and anywhere that has its own booking logic, a mezzanine, an outdoor terrace, a semi-private corner. Most single restaurants land in our Medium tier at £825 for multiple floors or a private dining room; a single simple room can fit Small at £525.

Booking straight from the tour

With an enhanced tour, hotspots can link directly to your booking system, your menu, or a private hire enquiry form, placed in the specific room they relate to. Someone standing in the virtual private dining room, deciding whether it fits their group, can enquire about it without ever leaving the tour.

Questions people ask

Will a shoot disrupt service?

No, shoots are planned around your service times, typically just before opening with the room dressed and lit as it would be for a guest. No diners need to be in frame.

Can we show a refit or new menu launch quickly?

Yes, we can turn a reshoot around within our standard 4 to 10 working day delivery window, so a refit is reflected the week it opens rather than months later.

Does this work for a single small restaurant, or only groups?

Both. A single independent restaurant benefits the same way a group does, the mechanism, letting someone see the room before they book, doesn't depend on how many sites you have.

I used Biztour to get virtual tours done of all our coworking spaces and I am so pleased with how they turned out! They were super communicative, and really flexible to help us hit our deadlines.
