Cutting OTA Fees: Virtual Tours and Direct Hotel Bookings
Show every room type honestly. It's exactly why guests book direct.

Guests booking a hotel are trying to avoid one specific disappointment: arriving to find the room is smaller, darker or tireder than the photographs suggested. A tour removes that risk, and removing it is what lifts direct bookings away from platforms taking a cut of every reservation.
Every OTA listing shows the same one flattering wide-angle shot of one room type. A tour shows all of them, honestly, which sounds like a disadvantage until you realise it's exactly why guests trust it enough to book on your own site instead.
- Shows every room type honestly, not one flattering example, building the trust that lifts direct bookings
- Arms your sales team to walk a corporate booker or wedding couple through function rooms remotely
- Reaches guests booking from other time zones without a same-day call
- Most hotels fit our Large tier at £950, covering room types and public areas
Why honesty beats flattery here
An OTA listing exists to get you booked somewhere, not necessarily with you, and its photography reflects that: one hero shot per room type, chosen to flatter. A tour does the opposite, showing the actual room a guest will walk into, and that honesty is precisely what earns enough trust for a guest to skip the platform and book direct.
The bigger case: meetings and events
The commercial upside often isn't leisure bookings at all, it's MICE and weddings. A corporate booker choosing a venue for a 200-person conference, or a couple planning a wedding from another city, can be walked through your function rooms on a video call, from anywhere, at any hour, without either of you needing to be in the same room.
An aerial shot that opens on a terrace and rises to reveal a pool and grounds in one continuous move is the kind of thing that sells a venue before anyone's read a rate card.
What actually gets captured
You don't need to shoot every one of eighty bedrooms, one scene per room type is enough, since guests want to see the category they're booking, not the whole hotel. Combine that with public areas, the restaurant, spa and function rooms, and most hotels land in our Large tier at £950, or the XL rate for anything bigger.
Questions people ask
Can you shoot around guests?
Yes. We work with your housekeeping schedule, capturing show rooms between checkout and check-in and public areas at quiet hours. No guest appears in a scene without consent.
Do you need to shoot every bedroom?
No, one scene per room type is enough, guests are choosing a category, not a specific room number, so we capture a representative example of each.
How much does a hotel virtual tour cost?
Most hotels sit in our Large tier at £950 for up to 30 scenes, with additional scenes at £300 per 10. All prices are plus VAT.
What hotels clients book
The services your kind of space actually books. Combining them in one visit costs less than separate shoots.
