A new client trusts a stranger with how they'll look for six weeks. Show them the room first.

A new client choosing a salon is trusting a stranger with how they'll look for the next six weeks. Almost nothing on a typical salon website addresses that anxiety, and a tour addresses all of it: not your portfolio, but the room itself, at eleven at night when they're actually deciding.
Barbering runs on the same logic from a different angle: it's local, high-frequency, walk-in trade, and the discovery happens almost entirely on Google Maps. We've shot Pall Mall Barbers across several of their London sites, King's Cross among them.
- Salons: reassures nervous first-time clients by showing the room, not just the portfolio
- Barbers: wins the fast, low-information comparison happening on Google Maps right now
- Both appear on your Google Business Profile at the exact moment of local search
- Most salons and barbers fit our Small tier at £525
What a nervous first-timer actually wants to see
It's not your best work on Instagram, it's the room: the chairs, the basins, whether it's clean, whether it looks like somewhere they'll feel comfortable rather than judged. A tour shows exactly that, and shows it at the moment they're actually deciding, which for most people is scrolling on a phone late at night, not during your opening hours.
Barbers: a fast, low-information decision
A man looking for a new barber is comparing three listings fast, with very little to go on beyond a star rating and a couple of photos. The listing with a tour attached gets picked more often, because he can see the chairs, the waiting area and whether the place looks like his kind of shop before ever walking in.
Both salon searches and barber searches happen overwhelmingly on Google Maps, which is exactly where a Google virtual tour sits, on your Business Profile, at the point of decision. As a one-time cost with no hosting fee, it works out cheaper than a fortnight of paid local ads and it keeps working indefinitely.
When to shoot, and who's in frame
Before opening or on a closure day, so the space is pristine and no clients are caught mid-appointment. Most salons and barbers are captured in two to three hours and fit our Small tier at £525, covering reception, the styling or chair area, wash stations and any treatment rooms. Staff can appear with written consent, though most businesses prefer a clean, empty capture that keeps the focus on the space itself.
