Virtual tours for opticians

A retail environment that has to look clinical too.

An opticians is two businesses in one room: a clinical practice and a retail frame showroom. The website usually shows one and neglects the other.

  • Show the frame range that drives retail decisions
  • Demonstrate clinical standards in the testing rooms
  • Counter online frame retailers with real range
  • Win local Google searches for eye tests

Why it works for this sector

A tour shows both, and the combination is the selling point. Customers see the range of frames on display, which is what drives the retail decision, and the testing rooms, which is what tells them the clinical side is taken seriously.

That matters because frame purchases are increasingly lost to online retailers. Showing the size and quality of your in-store range is the most direct counter to someone buying glasses from a website.

How big a tour do you need?

Most opticians fit our Small tier at £525, covering the retail floor and testing rooms.

Every tour is priced on scenes, not square footage.

See what each tier includes, or answer five questions and we will size it for you.

Opticians virtual tours - your questions answered

Should we show the testing rooms?

Yes. The clinical side is what distinguishes you from an online frame retailer, and showing modern equipment justifies both the eye test fee and the frame price.

Can you shoot while we are trading?

We would normally capture before opening for a clean result, but we can shoot around appointments if a closure is not practical.

How much does an opticians tour cost?

From £525 for up to 10 scenes covering the retail floor and testing rooms. All prices are plus VAT.

How long does it take from shoot to live?

Between 4 and 10 working days from shoot to live, depending on the size of the job.

What are your payment terms?

A 50% deposit secures your date and is due no later than two weeks before the shoot. 25% is payable once the shoot is complete, and the final 25% on delivery and sign-off, at which point the tour and any photography or video assets are sent to you.

Do you charge for travel?

Travel is included free within London Zones 1 to 4. Anywhere else is priced by mileage or by mode of transport, and it is set out in your quote before you commit.

Are your prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices are plus VAT. Your written quote always shows the VAT separately, so there are no surprises at invoice.

Who owns the finished tour and images?

We retain copyright of the finished work, and you receive a lifetime licence to use it however you like: your website, listings, social channels, print and advertising.

How it works

Virtual tours, start to finish

From first enquiry to a tour live on Google, the whole thing takes 4 to 10 working days after the shoot.

  1. 1

    Tell us about your space

    15 min response

Call, email or send a floor plan and we will count the scenes and tell you which tier you fall into. We aim to respond to every enquiry within 15 minutes during business hours, with a tailored written quote rather than a figure plucked out of the sky.

  2. 2

    Book your date

    50% deposit

A 50% deposit secures the date, due no later than two weeks before the shoot. Travel is free within London Zones 1 to 4; anywhere else is priced by mileage or transport mode and shown in your quote.

  3. 3

    Shoot day

    2 to 8 hours

Between 2 and 8 hours on site depending on the size of the space, planned around your opening and trading hours. We have shot entire retail estates without costing a single trading hour, so working around you is normal rather than exceptional.

  4. 4

    Stitching and post-production

    25% on completion

Every panorama is stitched, levelled and colour corrected, then built into a tour that matches the layout of your space. If you have commissioned an enhanced tour, this is where the hotspots, menus and calls to action are added.

  5. 5

    Live and signed off

    25% on delivery

Between 4 and 10 working days from shoot to live, depending on the size of the job. Google tours then go through Google's own quality control, which usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Once you have signed off, the final payment is due and everything is sent over.
