Getting Shortlisted: Virtual Tours for Wedding Venues

Couples plan from a laptop, late at night. If you're not there, you're not shortlisted.

Couples plan weddings from a laptop, often late at night and often from another city. They build a shortlist of three or four venues long before anyone books a viewing, and if they can't picture themselves in your space, you're not on it.

Wedding enquiries are unusually high-consideration and unusually emotional. A virtual tour is what settles the question a gallery of someone else's wedding photos can't: what does this venue actually look like, as itself.

  • Gets you shortlisted by couples planning remotely, or from abroad, before a viewing ever happens
  • Shows ceremony room, reception space and grounds as one connected walk-through
  • Cuts show-arounds that were never going to convert, protecting your team's time
  • Most wedding venues need our Large tier at £950, for 20 to 30 scenes

Why this sector is different

A couple isn't comparing venues on price and availability the way a corporate booker might, they're trying to imagine one specific day: where the ceremony happens, where guests have drinks, what the room looks like properly dressed. Photographs of somebody else's wedding help, but they also raise doubt, because the couple can't tell what's the venue and what's the styling.

A tour settles it. They walk the ceremony room, the reception space and the grounds at their own pace, and see the venue as it actually is, not as it looked on someone else's best day.

Dressed or empty: the honest answer

Dressed, if you can manage it. An empty room asks the couple to do imaginative work; a dressed room does it for them. Many venues capture the space set for a wedding immediately before or after a real event, which costs nothing extra in setup and shows the room exactly as a guest would experience it.

Protecting your team's time

Wedding show-arounds routinely take ninety minutes, and most of them were never going to book. When a couple has already toured your venue online, walked the grounds, seen the capacity of each room, the ones who still request a viewing are genuinely serious, which means every in-person show-around your team runs is a far better use of an afternoon.

Questions people ask

Should we capture the venue dressed or empty?

Dressed, if you can. An empty room asks the couple to do imaginative work; a dressed room does it for them. Many venues capture the space set for a wedding immediately before or after a real event.

Can couples enquire directly from inside the tour?

With an enhanced tour, yes. Hotspots can carry capacity details, your wedding brochure and an enquiry form, placed in the room the couple is standing in when they decide.

How much does a wedding venue tour cost?

Most wedding venues sit in the Large tier at £950. The enhanced layer is £495 on top. All prices are plus VAT.
