Basic or Enhanced Virtual Tour? How to Choose

One question: is there somewhere specific you want the visitor to end up?

A standard tour and an enhanced tour show the same space, the difference is what happens once someone's inside it. A standard tour lets them look around freely. An enhanced tour adds clickable hotspots, information, images, links, calls to action, that guide them toward something specific.

The honest test for which you need: is there somewhere specific you'd want a visitor to end up, or something specific you'd want them to know, at a particular point in the tour?

  • Standard: base rate only, a clean walk-through, no interactive layer
  • Enhanced: base rate plus £495, up to 30 hotspots, carries information, media and calls to action
  • Choose enhanced if you have a real reason to guide visitors somewhere specific
  • Choose standard if the space alone, explored freely, is doing the job you need

When a standard tour is genuinely enough

If your goal is simply letting someone see the space honestly, so they can judge for themselves whether it's right for them, a standard tour does that completely. Not every business needs to guide a visitor toward a specific action inside the tour itself, sometimes the space speaking for itself is the whole job.

When enhanced earns its £495

If you have specific information worth surfacing in specific rooms, pricing on a display, a booking link in a private hire space, a video demonstration in a particular area, enhanced is what lets you place it exactly where it's relevant, rather than hoping a visitor finds it elsewhere on your website. It's also the format for a direct call to action: an enquiry form or booking link placed in the room a visitor's just decided they like.

A practical way to decide

Walk through your own space mentally, room by room, and ask whether there's something specific you'd tell a visitor standing in each one, capacity, price, an offer, a booking option. If several rooms have a real answer, enhanced is doing genuine work. If the honest answer is mostly 'nothing specific, just look around', standard is the right, more cost-effective choice.

Questions people ask

Can we upgrade from standard to enhanced later?

Yes, the enhanced layer can be added to an existing tour without a full reshoot, provided the underlying scenes are still current.

How many hotspots do most businesses actually use?

Most single-location businesses use well under the 30 included, one or two per scene where there's genuinely something to say, not a hotspot in every corner for the sake of it.
