Virtual tours for opera venues
A room built for acoustics, shown properly.
Opera houses are architecturally significant buildings whose interiors are part of the draw. A tour lets audiences appreciate the room before they attend, and lets companies assess the stage and pit before they programme.
- Capture the orchestra pit as well as the stage
- Show the auditorium as audiences experience it
- Support programming decisions by visiting companies
- Present a significant interior as part of the draw
Why it works for this sector
The orchestra pit is the detail that separates an opera venue from a theatre, and it is the first thing a visiting company asks about: pit size, player capacity, sightlines to the conductor. A tour that includes the pit answers a question a floor plan cannot.
For audiences, the interior is often the reason to come. Capturing the auditorium properly, with its lighting as an audience sees it, sells both the performance and the building.
How big a tour do you need?
Opera venues usually need our Large tier at £950 or the XL rate for larger houses with extensive backstage areas.
Every tour is priced on scenes, not square footage.
See what each tier includes, or answer five questions and we will size it for you.
Opera Venues virtual tours - your questions answered
Can you capture the orchestra pit?
Yes. The pit is one of the most useful scenes for visiting companies, showing player capacity and the relationship to the stage in a way that dimensions alone do not.
Will shooting interfere with rehearsals?
No. We work around your schedule, typically capturing on dark days or between productions, and we can shoot in sections if the building is never fully free.
How much does an opera venue tour cost?
From £950 for up to 30 scenes, with additional scenes at £300 per 10 for larger houses. All prices are plus VAT.
How long does it take from shoot to live?
Between 4 and 10 working days from shoot to live, depending on the size of the job.
What are your payment terms?
A 50% deposit secures your date and is due no later than two weeks before the shoot. 25% is payable once the shoot is complete, and the final 25% on delivery and sign-off, at which point the tour and any photography or video assets are sent to you.
Do you charge for travel?
Travel is included free within London Zones 1 to 4. Anywhere else is priced by mileage or by mode of transport, and it is set out in your quote before you commit.
Are your prices inclusive of VAT?
All prices are plus VAT. Your written quote always shows the VAT separately, so there are no surprises at invoice.
Who owns the finished tour and images?
We retain copyright of the finished work, and you receive a lifetime licence to use it however you like: your website, listings, social channels, print and advertising.
How it works
Virtual tours, start to finish
From first enquiry to a tour live on Google, the whole thing takes 4 to 10 working days after the shoot.
- 0115 min response
Tell us about your space
Call, email or send a floor plan and we will count the scenes and tell you which tier you fall into. We respond to every enquiry within 15 minutes during business hours, with a tailored written quote rather than a figure plucked out of the sky.
- 0250% deposit
Book your date
A 50% deposit secures the date, due no later than two weeks before the shoot. Travel is free within London Zones 1 to 4; anywhere else is priced by mileage or transport mode and shown in your quote.
- 032 to 8 hours
Shoot day
Between 2 and 8 hours on site depending on the size of the space, planned around your opening and trading hours. We have shot entire retail estates without costing a single trading hour, so working around you is normal rather than exceptional.
- 0425% on completion
Stitching and post-production
Every panorama is stitched, levelled and colour corrected, then built into a tour that matches the layout of your space. If you have commissioned an enhanced tour, this is where the hotspots, menus and calls to action are added.
- 0525% on delivery
Live and signed off
Between 4 and 10 working days from shoot to live, depending on the size of the job. Google tours then go through Google's own quality control, which usually takes 24 to 48 hours. Once you have signed off, the final payment is due and everything is sent over.
What opera venues clients book
